World Culture Festival

The 30th anniversary of The Art of Living was marked with grand celebrations on July 2 and 3 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

Over 50,000 people from over 150 countries participated in the celebrations and demonstrated the beauty and diversity of different cultures through music, dance, food and literature.

On the stadium stage and in the dozens of pavilions located around it, for two days, visitors had the opportunity to experience cultures from all over the world.

During the official program, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the brilliant performance of the world-famous St. Petersburg Ballet, as well as the dance "One World Family". The musical performance of the 30 world-famous pianists, as well as the ensemble of violinists and, of course, the spectacular guitar ensemble of nearly 2,000 guitarists was also impressive. The culmination of the Saturday holiday was the incredible laser show.

The World Culture Festival also left unforgettable memories of the dance and music performances of Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Argentina, Tibet, India, Canada and many others. Prominent politicians and spiritual leaders extended their congratulations on the thirtieth anniversary of the Art of Living and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and a call for peace, love and harmony in the world, including Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democratic Party in the US Congress, and Herman van Rompuy.

Bulgaria presented itself at the World Culture Festival in Berlin with a spectacular dance of nearly 2,000 people.
Due to the large-scale activities of the Art of Living Foundation in Bulgaria, our country was chosen to present itself on the central stage in front of the audience of many thousands at the Olympic Stadium.

16 buses from Bulgaria, as well as hundreds of Bulgarians living in Berlin and other parts of Germany and Europe, joined the dance and filled the entire stadium, which made our performance the most large-scale and impressive. During the incredible show that Elitsa Todorova put on on stage, 550 dancers in folk costumes from all over Bulgaria and over 1,000 Bulgarians, dressed in special shirts with folk motifs, formed 5 circles and danced a straight dance to show the world the beauty of Bulgarian folklore.

Throughout the performance, the audience in the stands applauded and chanted the name of our country. Participants in the dance share that this exciting experience will leave an unforgettable memory in their hearts.

"We, the dancers from TS "Ahinora", thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did to make this grand event in Berlin happen and to once again show the world that the Bulgarian spirit is alive."

"Please accept our most heartfelt thanks from the dancers of the Pobeda Folklore Club - Veliko Tarnovo, for the exceptional experience at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Our participation in the World Culture Festival will leave some of our most beautiful memories and experiences."
