Bangalore: Holistic education that imparts vocational skills along with a strong foundation in life skills, making students more employable than just literate, is the need of the day. Keeping this in mind, the Art of Living has organized a ‘Skill Development’ and ‘India Way Forward’ Conclave for institutional heads from May 23 to 25 at its International Centre in Bangalore.
Leaders from over 23 educational institutions, schools and colleges, around the country are participating in the program.
The Conclave features sessions on both skill development and the future of India’s young democracy, highlighting the importance of experiential learning, requirements and responsibilities of education institutions for skill development, corporate expectations from educational institutes, technology of happiness, holistic education, and global dimensions of India's demographic dividend.
The keynote speakers at the conclave include; Dr. R.S. Rathore, Director, All India Council for Technical Education; and Mr. Jayant Krishna, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation, Mr. Ajay Bagga, Executive Chairman, OPC Asset Solutions. Issues to be discussed include Global Dimension of India's Demographic Dividend, Integration of academics & skill development, Skill Development Scenario & Way Forward.
The keynote address will be delivered between 4 pm to 5 pm on 25th May 2016.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be addressing the valedictory session on ‘India Way Forward’ on from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
